About Me: Ms. Melinda Kneeland
I was born and raised in Diamond Bar, CA (outside of Los Angeles) and attended BYU and BYU-Hawaii. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from BYU. After graduating, I spent several years working as a Database Administrator for Deloitte & Touche accounting firm and traveling the country training people on the system that we had.
After many years, I realized that my passion was teaching, so I got my teaching credential and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have never looked back. I have taught Algebra, Geometry, Consumer Math, Personal Finance, and Integrated Math. I also work as an online instructor for Brigham Young University - Idaho. I love working with students and watching them find pride and accomplishment when they are successful in Math. The struggles that my students go through are real, and there is nothing greater than when you can see the light in their eyes and they say "I have never been good at math, but I totally get this."
I enjoy a variety of hobbies, including crafting, designing, home design, and traveling. I have had the opportunity to visit many places over the last several years and am so excited for the opportunity to again do so in the coming years.
