Welcome!
Although 2020 has not been what we had expected, I am both excited and nervous to start the school year. This semester may be challenging, but we are all in this together. As we get to know each other, I hope we can support one another and be patient. I am sure you are all nervous about learning from home, but I am here to support you in any way I can. Don’t hesitate to reach out!
This year I will be teaching Biology, Earth Science, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I am also one of the assistant coaches for Track and Field. I coach the throwers (shotput and discus).
During this distance learning phase, I will be primarily using Canvas, Microsoft 365, and Zoom to communicate with you, and to help you be successful. All students have an Office 365 account which gives you access to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, and Email. If you have trouble navigating any of these tools, please visit the Lakeside School website or go to https://www.leusd.k12.ca.us/ and click on Distance Learning. It is in your best interest to download and turn on the notifications for the following apps: Canvas, Microsoft 365, and Zoom. You can do this on your own device or on a school issued device.
