Welcome to English 10, sophomore Language Arts, where we will be focusing on the processes on deeper literary analysis, figurative language, different genres of writing, and revision. A more detailed breakdown of the reading skills that will be taught in this class includes the analysis of theme, symbolism, imagery, etc. In addition, the writing and revision skills will include outlining, formatting, drafting, and peer reviews. This course will also include a variety of assessments and in class projects to differentiate the learning process to benefit all students’ learning. Sophomore year really begins to set the tone for comprehension and communication skills that students will need outside of class and after graduation.
