Della is a professional baker in Winston, North Carolina who enjoys making the most delicious cakes in town. Her day is complete when the taste buds of her customers have been satisfied, a helpful diversion from her flawed marriage. But when Jen, the daughter of Della's deceased best friend, returns to Winston with her fiancee to order a wedding cake, Della's world is shaken to its core.
