Need Help Logging on to a Distance Learning Tool?
This is your one stop "shop" for help in accessing or logging on to the different Distance Learning tools your teachers may be using.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING - THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS EMAIL YOUR TEACHER TO FIND OUT WHICH TOOL HE/SHE IS USING TO CONDUCT SPECIFIC CLASS WORK.  TEACHERS HAVE MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS AND ARE USING WHAT FITS THEIR CLASS BEST!

Most of our teachers can also be emailed through this school website!  Just click this link and it will take you to the page that lists all our teacher profiles.    https://lhs.leusd.k12.ca.us/apps/staff/

Here is a great video made by Mrs. Webber showing you how to log on to your school email!

Communication is KEY to your Distance Learning success!
Your School District, School Site, and many of your Teachers are using a tool called ParentSquare to send out messages to your phones and/or email accounts.

Step 1:    First thing you should do is download the StudentSquare app.
You will get all the important communication from your teachers, counselors, and administration right to your phone.

Step 2:    Start by logging in using your student ID@leusd.k12.ca.us
Example of the format:
123456@leusd.k12.ca.us where the numbers are your student ID #

Step 3:    Next you'll create a password.
It's recommended to use your 8 digit birthday so you don't forget, but you can choose any password you like.

Step 4:    After that they will send you a registration code to your student email address (example: 123456@leusd.k12.ca.us)
You'll need to log into https://office.com (use 123456@leusd.k12.ca.us as the user name and your 8 digit birthdate as the password) and choose Outlook to access your email and the registration code. Copy that code into the app and then you'll be off and running.
Other Helpful Tools
Some Lakeside teachers use Remind.  In most cases, after you download the App you can see what options are available at Lakeside.  But if you are not sure, just email your teacher and ask them for the class code.  They will be happy to help you.
Outlook Email, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Tools can be found where you normally go to send emails.  In order to get to those apps (like Teams):

Step 1:      First log on to your LEUSD Outlook account. Click here to log into Office 365!
Step 2:      Instead of clicking the email "icon"  Click on the tool you need.
"Teams" is an app that your teacher may be using to hold class discussions, answer questions and/or post assignments.
HOW TO SEND AND RECEIVE ENRICHMENT DOCUMENTS AND ASSIGNMENTS THAT ARE OFFERED THROUGH THE DISTRICT ENRICHMENT PORTAL:
CLEVER is an app that many of you are familiar with.  Some of your teachers have been using this tool all year to have you complete course work and essays.

It is also where many teachers are assigning and collecting assignments.

Step 1: log in through Clever. It will automatically log you in to all other LEUSD resources, and all you have to do is click through to where you want to go, i.e., Office365, Canvas, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Log in using your student ID@leusd.k12.ca.us as the user name and your 8 digit birthday as your password.

Example of the format:
01022004 (January 2nd, 2004)

and/or

These two resources will allow you to chat/send messages, upload documents, and stay connected to your classes. If you've never used these resources before, YouTube Tutorials will be your friend, and of course, your actual friends may be able to help.

Of course, if your teachers use Google Classroom or other tools such as Nearpod, that's great.  You need to make sure to reach out to your teachers if you have questions. You can message them through the StudentSquare app or send them an email through Outlook.
Here is a quick awesome "How to use Nearpod" resource that Mrs. Burne has made for us! https://share.nearpod.com/vsph/Kqsbmsv6Lu
