Hello and Welcome!
This school year promises to be a unique opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to pioneer new ways of learning and teaching, and I am glad to be here for you!
My passion is teaching. As a teacher, you have the unique ability to help shape students and the future, and I wanted to become a teacher because I wanted to be a part of the change. I want to be a person who students can see as safe and supportive; a person who sees their ability and believes in them. I strive to see the whole child in his or her learning process, and my goal is to create a safe space where students can be themselves and take risk in their learning. I hope to empower them with strategies and help them to develop a desire to learn.
It is humbling to watch students grow and transform. They truly show you what is possible with determination and the right support. I find myself ending the school day with a smile often, thinking back on their "Ah-Ha" moments or even just their humorous personalities, and being honored by the connections we have made.
We will be using Microsoft Teams for LHS's daily communication. It will be extremely helpful downloading the Microsoft Teams App on your smartphone for instant alerts and to receive important communications from Lakeside HS. You may access your Microsoft Office 365 account by clicking on the Clever link. You sign in to Clever with your school e-mail account which is your student ID email@example.com. Your password is your 8-digit date of birth; for example April 23, 2005 would be 04232005. In Clever, select "Dashboard" and you will see the classes you are enrolled in.
Please also make sure that you and your parents are on our school's Parent Square App as this is our school's and district's communication tool.
You as well as your parents may also e-mail me at:
Looking forward to an amazing 2021-2022 school year!
