Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
I am looking forward to a great year with English 9 and 10 students. Please refer to this website to get to your assignments and announcements to all the great activities going on in my classroom.
We will be using a combination of Khan Academy assignments, along with assignments from the textbook (My Perspectives), as well as the grade level novels.
I will update the website each day for information relative to both English 9 and 10, so be sure to check this resource first at the beginning of class.
Day 1 - August 9, 2023:
Assignment #1: Email Your Teacher
Using your Office 365 Account, Email your teacher introducing yourself. Answer the following questions in your email:
What subject or subjects do you enjoy most at school?
What activities (sports, hobbies, etc) do you enjoy?
What do you appreciate about your family or friends?
What things do you do to serve your community?
This assignment is due by the end of the period.

Assignment #2: Join Khan Academy
In this assignment, you will go to khanacademy.org and create an account using the class codes that are in the following video:
Please be sure to use your district email address to make your account.
Day 3 - August 11, 2022:
Assignment #3: Khan Academy - Introduction to Nouns
In this assignment, you will go to khanacademy.org and complete the assignments on "Introduction to Nouns".
